Bribe them with some pot?
Yeah, and didn’t it start today?
Oh, look, didn’t he finally just open the module?

Now that I’ve read the syllabus, don’t I think that dropping the class would be a good idea (especially since I have another class that starts tomorrow), because YIKES?
I’m thinking you might have a really good point?
Ain’t it done now, so one less thing to worry about? Hurray?
Did everyone apply for this?

Have you ever taken a summer course in quantitative chemical analysis at a JC, by a prof that boasted about the number of Berkeley and Stanford students that dropped after thinking it would be an easy pass?
No; have you?
Have you ever taken a summer course in differential equations after failing it the previous semester, only to get an A? Doncha know that guy was one of the best professors I ever had, and he made all the difference?
Except for that prof whose class I dropped, right? Wasn’t that a mess?
Ugh; wasn’t it though?
Didn’t I watch that class dwindle from 30 to 15 within a couple of weeks? Isn’t it funny they only offered it as a summer course?
So should I seriously reply to the recruiter wanting sysadmins to work in Kuwait? Do I wanna be away from MrsTobinL and the kid for months at a time?
Didn’t that make all the difference for me after dropping the 300 level linear algebra class 3 times?
Quantitative chemical analysis
Was there, um, so much interest in that course that they should have offered a full class?
Didn’t it seem intentionally designed to weed out those that were not serious abut the science? Was it perhaps a holdover from the pre-Internet days, when people couldn’t get easy access to the information that came after?
Do you want to make lots of money? Do you want to come home months later realizing the money wasn’t worth doing it again?
Are they offering you more than you would make here? Does the job require you to supply 7+ years of personal information to the US government?
