Can’t the question of why Hollywood persists in its belief that only white leads can make it big money, be a different question from whether actors in a regional drama need to be from that region? And can’t the strong support for the casting in this particular instance by the (Japanese) publisher of GITS be read as a profit-driven rather than racist, even at the same time that it reflects a structural racism in the American film industry?
And isn’t being “pissy” often – or even usually – a good thing?

Hey, did you guys know about about Rembrandt’s first version of Belshazzar’s Feast which was an enigma to hedgehog art historians for decades until it was discovered that Rembrandt had initially read a faulty Dutch translation of the book of Daniel that had translated the word “Writing” as “Hedgehog?” Fascinating what hedgehog art historians discover, isn’t it?

You know even without kids I tend to avoid loud places, since I don’t take blaring noise? Ever been to Austin? While it’s still only in Central Tex., don’t I find P-Terry’s to be better than 5 Guys or In-N-Out?
