Anyone else start the day going to the funeral of a 97-year-old and end the day with a birthday party for an 88-year-old?
Wasn’t it wonderful to celebrate a life devoted to family and love? Wasn’t it strange to celebrate a life devoted to the antithesis of family and love?
Don’t I wish I was related to the man who was devoted to family and love, instead of the other one?
Wasn’t it cathartic to cry with the family built on love and support, who have taken me in and loved and supported me?
Why the hell didn’t I get a family like that?

Latkes, of course! What? Do you think I am some kind of Hamantaschen eating barbarian? Can you put sour cream on a Hamantaschen? None of this is to say that I don’t eat Hamantaschen, it’s just that I am not a barbarian when I do eat them (I eat them with tea or coffee), you know what I mean?
