Quotes on religion and the mythical Christian solar god Jesus's association with the Sun

Topiary sculptures is one thing. I suspected at a young age, that the Garden of Eden was a myth. How historically accurate and verifiable is one of the most well known stories in the Bible of Christianity and Tanakh of Judaism?

If the Garden of Eden is a real place, then where are the “Cherubims” and the flaming and turning sword that is supposed to be guarding the eastern entrance to the Garden of Eden?

According to the scriptures of the Tanakh of Judaism and the Bible of Christianity, the Garden of Eden should be a easy place to locate. Has anyone found the “Cherubims” or flaming and turning sword?

Most people know what a flaming and turning sword looks like. In case someone has no idea what a "Cherubim is:

The celestial hierarchy or celestial/heavenly beings, ranked in the following order: angels (the lowest), archangels, principalities, powers, virtues, dominions, thrones, cherubim, and seraphim (the highest).

Several times in the Bible and Tanakh of Judaism , celestial or heavenly beings carry out the will of God; examples include the Archangels Gabriel and Michael–and the Cherubims who guard the eastern entrance to the Garden of Eden.

Genesis 3:22-24

22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Easter Sunday is fast approaching. Easter Sunday or Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian celebration, festival and holiday that commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Easter Sunday 2016 will occur on Sunday March 27th. Easter is another example of the solar symbolism associated with the Christian religion. Easter Sunday has as much to do with the “Sun” as it has to do with the mythical Christian character named Jesus.

Mentioned in the original OP, Easter Sunday is “ALWAYS” celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after March 20 or 21. This gives Easter an association with both the moon and sun. The date and time of the March 2016 full moon is: Mar. 23 Wed. 08:01 AM http://www.calendar-12.com/moon_phases/2016

Easter is celebrated on Sunday (named after the “Sun”). March 20 or 21 is the date (depending on the year) of the vernal (spring) equinox in the northern hemisphere, the date the “Sun” crosses directly over the earth’s equator. The position of the “Sun” on the horizon facing east at sunrise is centered in the middle of the horizon, forming a solar celestial cross, at this point the “Sun” is crucified on the eastern horizon.

The sun then continues northward on the horizon and crosses over or passes over the celestial point of crucifixion and ascends or rises to its highest point in the sky on June 20 or 21 (the summer solstice) thru the first week of July (the “aphelion”).

The sun is directly overhead at the Tropic of Cancer at noon on the day of the summer solstice. The sun on the day of the summer solstice at sunrise reaches its most northern point on the horizon. The sun again pauses for about three days before reversing itself and heading south again on the horizon.

The myth of Jesus is man-made, but it follows the natural law of nature and the universe as it mimics the perceived movement of the sun, caused by the earth being tilted on its axis, spinning, and wobbling as it revolves around the sun in an elliptical orbit.

Happy Easter “Sunday”: Christianity, Jesus and the “Sun”

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Matthew 17:2

And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. Note: On earth we call our star the Sun.

But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light.

Matthew 24:29-30

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Mark 1:32

And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils

But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

The Scriptures of the Koran (Qur’an)~

The religions of Judaism and Christianity have many violent scriptures where sometimes thousands of people are killed.

In the religion of Islam, the violent scriptures in the Koran (Qur’an) seem to be a guidelines and rules for killing: In defense of Islam, in the name of Allah; or on behalf of defending the honor of Islam/Allah–and defending Islam from outside attackers who would (and want) to destroy Islam.

There are many, but here are a few of those scriptures~

Sura 4:74-76

74 Let those fight in the cause of Allah Who sell the life of this world for the hereafter. To him who fighteth in the cause of Allah,- whether he is slain or gets victory - Soon shall We give him a reward of great (value).

75 And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: “Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from thee one who will protect; and raise for us from thee one who will help!”

76 Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who reject Faith Fight in the cause of Evil: So fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan.

Sura 3:151-152

151 Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority: their abode will be the Fire: And evil is the home of the wrong-doers!

152 Allah did indeed fulfill His promise to you when ye with His permission Were about to annihilate your enemy,-until ye flinched and fell to disputing about the order, and disobeyed it after He brought you in sight (of the booty) which ye covet. Among you are some that hanker after this world and some that desire the Hereafter. Then did He divert you from your foes in order to test you but He forgave you: For Allah is full of grace to those who believe.

Sura 66:9

O Prophet (Muhammad )! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be severe against them, their abode will be Hell, and worst indeed is that destination.

Sura 61:4

Verily, Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in rows (ranks) as if they were a solid structure.

Sura 8:12

Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): “I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.”

Sura 2:244

Then fight in the cause of Allah, and know that Allah Heareth and knoweth all things.

Sura 4:89

They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks;-

Sura 47:3-4

3 That is because the faithless follow falsehood, and because the faithful follow the truth from their Lord. That is how Allah draws comparisons for mankind.

4 When you meet the faithless in battle, strike their necks. When you have thoroughly decimated them, bind the captives firmly. Thereafter either oblige them [by setting them free] or take ransom till the war lays down its burdens. That [is Allah’s ordinance], and had Allah wished He could have taken vengeance on them,1 but that He may test some of you by means of others. As for those who were slain in the way of Allah, He will not let their works go awry.

Sura 9: 123

O you who have faith! Fight the faithless who are in your vicinity, and let them find severity in you, and know that Allah is with the Godwary.

Sura 2:190-191

190 Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors.

191 And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith.

Sura 2: 216-218

216 Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.

217 They ask thee concerning fighting in the Prohibited Month. Say: “Fighting therein is a grave (offence); but graver is it in the sight of Allah to prevent access to the path of Allah, to deny Him, to prevent access to the Sacred Mosque, and drive out its members.” Tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter. Nor will they cease fighting you until they turn you back from your faith if they can. And if any of you Turn back from their faith and die in unbelief, their works will bear no fruit in this life and in the Hereafter; they will be companions of the Fire and will abide therein.

218 Those who believed and those who suffered exile and fought (and strove and struggled) in the path of Allah,- they have the hope of the Mercy of Allah. And Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Did you know that I skim your stuff? And mostly because of walls of text?

Rather, here’s a puppet in the Tate in London admiring Picasso, Liechtenstein, etc.

OK, I GET IT. You don’t like religion. If that’s what you’re trying to say, then you’ve made your point. OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Must you keep posting such long-winded TL/DR copy-pasta?

Is there anything else that interests you, like the search for Bigfoot or the lack of definitve information surrounding the 1947 alien landing in Roswell, New Mexico? Perhaps you enjoy brewing your own beer or putting together awesome outfits for cosplay events? Are you in a metal band? Do you collect old jazz 78s?

And any of those would much more interesting to me and most of the BBS as well.
So come @khepra you got any other hobbies than this thread?
