seriously – if you guys are not going to be drinking, STOP ORDERING DRINKS.
But we love to watch them being made!
Are you making fun of our drinking problem?
No, again, magic is a trick an illusion.
The "Great Pyramid at Giza is real, it is a actual structure you can visit, touch and go inside to tour. You cannot build “any” architectural structure, especially “The Great Pyramid at Giza” using magic tricks.
Magic is considered by some as the lowest version of abstract science. From my iinvestigation of the African-Kemetic Mystery System , some priests were trained in magic, probably similar to many of today’s great magicians. Magic is entertaining and fun to watch when it is performed by a master magician.
Hey, I know you! You’re the guy from that stain removal infomercial!
Any time. Useful isn’t it?
So when you say ‘power over nature’, should we understand this to be literally supernatural power, or does this
suggest that we could discover this level independently of some revealed wisdom? There are a number of techniques that were once known and have since been lost, some of which were rediscovered. I couldn’t build a replica of the Great Pyramid at Giza, but then I couldn’t build a replica of my own house either. My neighbours who built it have more power over nature in this area than I do, and intellect and academic level have nothing to do with it - it’s a case of specialisation and training in that particular skill. Some learned abilities that other people master are beyond my current comprehension, although I might be able to learn them from the right books or people, without any supernatural involvement.
Here I definitely agree with you… I think. I wonder if their religious leaders were also similar to today’s great religious leaders?
If you read Paine’s (highly critical) treatise on The Origin of Freemasonry you will see that he probably knew quite a bit about Egyptian mythology. (Actually, unlike his writing in the Age of Reason, in his Freemasonry essay he does seem to agree with you that there is a link between the Christ story and ancient sun worship. You would probably enjoy this essay.)
So does this mean that they were just better at engineering with large blocks of stone in a sophisticated layout? It’s true that they did build an impressive structure, but why is it that big of a deal that they made a large stone structure? Maybe they were operating at an impressive intellectual and academic level for making a large stone structure, but does that indicate anything about them besides that they were good at moving large rocks?
We now know the wood used in their construction deforested Egypt, which was a net-negative to Egyptians and their local ecology for many centuries. The pyramids themselves seem to my eye to be a morbid waste of a society’s efforts, destroying their environment and resources in building a giant monument to a dead autocrat. Maybe we don’t build pyramids today because we have different priorities and focus our engineering efforts on things that are more of a benefit to the many rather than extravagant monuments to dead kings?
You recognize that we are operating at an intellectual and academic level massively more sophisticated than the ancient Egyptians in most domains - math, logic, sciences, engineering, etc., right? So besides moving large blocks of stone in sophisticated arrangements what else is notable?
That’s true, he could have been aware of some African-Kemetic/Anu mythology. The Greeks and Romans were aware and worshipped many of the gods and goddesses of Africa-Kemet/Anu.
What the discovery of the Rosetta Stone did was to allow scholars to interpret and understand the mdw-ntr (hieroglyphics), which revealed numerous and varied African-Kemetic-Anu religious characters and myths. As well as compile "The Book of Coming Forth by Day"or “Book of Coming From Darkness Into Light’” (Book of the Dead).
Myths like: the Heliopolis Ennead, Ogdoad of Hermopolis, Ra and “The Barque of a Million Years”, The Destruction of Mankind , The Judgment Scene of Ani and other judgement scenes, The Memphite Theology, and help understand the myth of pre-dynastic creator gods like Knumn…etc etc…
The myth of Osiris alone, is the most written about and revised religious myth of Africa-Kemet/Anu, covering all 30 plus African-Kemetic dynasties. Myths of Osiris include his stories about: Osiris as ruler of Earth, The Osiris-Isis-Horus trilogy, The 365 day calender, Osiris as ruler of the Underworld, Osiris’s myth as a lunar god, Osiris’s murder at the hands of his evil brother Set (Setan or Seth), Osiris and the shepherds tools (the crook and flail), Osiris and the ladder to heaven, Osiris as a member of the Black Anu…etc…etc…
