Reduce exposure to germ-prone surfaces with this tool's brass material

It is made of the worst material possible. The virus survives best on metal and the tip will scratch things. A toothpick does the job fine and doesn’t cost 22 dollars. The copyrighting is great though - it lists all the things you can press with a piece of metal.

Small Brass Thing

Today I am a Small Brass Thing
Like an elbow or an key
I am typical, generic, and replaceable – I’m kitchen-sink
I am sold to you

I am sold in Boing Boing Store
I’m no further than a mouse-click
You could use me and what’s more
I can’t be replaced by a stick

I am shipping to your home
Amazon is going full-speed
When you get it order more
It’s the thing you know that you’ll need

I am poking germs for you
Poking germs for you
Poking germs for you
Poking germs for you …

Today I am a Small Brass Thing
Like a pliars or a pen
I am typical, generic, and replaceable – I’m kitchen-sink
Purchase me and I will be –

Purchased, in your hand …
Purchased, in your hand …

The thing about brass is that it is antimicrobial. .

But not instantly so. Still plenty of hours for germs to rub off and survive on your clothing and in your pocket or purse.

The virus survives on most hard surfaces including stainless steal and probably. Copper is well known for its antimicrobial properties and there are various sources saying its equally effective at killing off this coronavirus on contact.

That said, this ad is so messed up we don’t even know if it is copper or aluminium!

It is “self-sterilizing” – but not like Nomad, one hopes.
