Rep. Andrew Clyde's behavior incredibly weird when asked if he still thinks Jan 6th was like "tourist visit"

Didn’t the SS wear something like that?

What is the current white-supremesist/nazi fashion?

So the insurrectionists would be sure to recognize him and not cause him any harm?

I have a theory that for some Republican politicians, spewing the Trump Shit® actually creates a huge amount of stress. Doesn’t come natural t all of them. Whether Clyde is one of those, hence the change discussed in the post, I don’t know but that’s my theory.
Donnie got elected in 2016 by crossing a line no reasonable pol would cross. He opened Pamndora’s Box and there’s no going back. And for some GOP pols, that’s really difficult. Not defending them at all, just noting a phenomenon. I mean, being in a position of power while affecting being a dittoed or Trumpet.

Well this what happens when an Australian conservative pauses longer fielding a question about an indefensible statement:

In addition to what others have said, he owns two gun stores and is a supplier of arms to the police in Georgia. It would make sense for him to want to appear to be carrying, as part of his brand.

Trump was the directly result of years of racist, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic dog whistling to various degrees of loudness by the GOP for decades now. He’s a symptom, not the illness itself. Their leaning into the culture wars was bound to attract someone like him. Getting rid of Trump will not solve the problems that already existed before he decided to put an R next to his name and run for office.

Can you clarify your question with these multiple choice answers:

(a) Yes - the sofa that he is lifting with several other men is meant to barricade the door to House chambers.

(b) No - he is struggling with his colleagues to get out into the lobby to greet his constituents.

(c) Yes - I was just joking.

(d) No - I am just gaslighting you by acting as if Clydes statement and actions are not what they appear to be.

(e) None of the above - fill in ________________.

Hopefully this little quiz is more in keeping with “community guidelines”

He knows he’s full of shit.

He also knows his voters know and don’t care.
