The only way they win is gerrymandering and voter suppression.
and post election fraud, this will be a predominant one in the electoral swing states in November. Hanging chads on steroids, disenfranchisement of whole precincts, in order to send it to the republican dominated legislature (yet i guess that last bit is also gerrymandering). Here’s hoping that the DNC has battalions of lawyers at the ready. -sigh-

I suspect the GOP has outsourced this already perfunctory effort to sexist and anti-LGBTQ Xtianist preachers at Black and Hispanic churches who know exactly how far up to the tax-exempt line they can walk in endorsing Il Douche. It’s still cheating, of course, but it allows the party to signal its racism to the white base. Plus it’s probably cheaper to bribe clergymen than it is to maintain offices and staff.

“Why would we want to do outreach to the same people we’re working so hard to disenfranchise? What, we’re going to convince them to vote for us just so they can show up at the polling place and find out they can’t vote? That would be just disrespectful, and we’re not going to waste their time like that. Or ours.”
