Yeah, that’s straight up some gilead shit… although in the last season I watched, one plotline was that a young handmaid was raped by a commander prior to her joining his household officially, she tried to commit suicide, and then turned out she was pregnant, and he ended up shot, but that was less about him violating her and more about power politics within the elite class…
But yeah, that could very much be a policy of a right wing christian nation…

Seems like a really effective ad that might sway some “pro-life” people that a total ban is not the correct way to go.
