The number of people injured or dead has increased.

After that I stopped looking.
For anyone who has never seen what gunshot wounds can do to a human body, it is not like the movies! The blood, piss, shit, screaming, terror and stench are not ok. The fact that we are in a place where a pizza or some cheap retail schlock can be seen as reasonable justification for pulling a gun is so very broken i cannot comprehend. (I guess i should add throwing a water bottle, being at a sweet 16 party and wearing too much melanin to that list.) I may just go outside and play the rest of the day.
And those are the ones who make it to hospital or emergency care, who have at least a chance of survival, and in the movies are back on their feet in a week or two with perhaps a sling on one arm. They may face a lifetime of physical and mental suffering, but are barely acknowledged in the statistics, which focus mainly on deaths.
The maddening aspect of this tragedy is that if the homeowner was so fearful, he could have avoided the “problem” by simply not answering the door.
It appears the shooter, an 85 year old, is being charged but he is not in custody yet.
The prosecutor said there was a racial component.
No kidding.
And there’s another. Of course there is.

Mr Monahan was “uncooperative with the investigation and refused to exit his residence to speak with police”
TIL that’s an option… for some folks who allegedly used guns to kill other people.
Two year olds don’t “need” ponies, let alone machines for killing other human beings.
I could do the first one, but I noped out of the second one after about a minute.
Calm, rational person according to the NRA
I’m thinking of a sideshoot to this thread: “Things that scare responsible gun owners”
- Children ringing the doorbell
- People turning around in driveways
- Basketballs
