Gotta love the Libertarian “taxation is theft” touch near the end of the flyer.
They are located in Bellevue.
PREVIOUSLY ON BOING BOING
I live in Texas.
I was surprised Texas is not at the bottom when it comes to weakest gun laws.
I was also surprised that Florida, The Gunshine State, is not 50th either.
Huh.
I learned some things.
Mississippi is number 50.
How about that.
The bureaucratic infrastructure necessary for tracking guns, enforcing [whatever meager] gun laws, etc. is not cheap to operate.
Mississippi is not without its cash flow issues and highest (second only to Puerto Rico) poverty rate in the U.S.:
So yeah, ok. Mississippi.
I shoulda guessed.
The harder question for people living in states with weak gun laws seems to be “do I arm myself to protect me and mine (and property); or, do I avoid have guns anywhere near me, even my own, ever?” This was a question my friends in St. Louis (city) [Missouri] used to ask. Often. Like, before the internet even existed in a public way.
Responsible gun ownership. In America.
I’ll never feel 100% comfortable about it and I’ll never fully understand it.
20 year old shoots man and puppy on hiking trail, but doesn’t report it. The guy’s father calls police days later since it was his gun that fired the fatal shot - I assume that’s because he knew it could be traced to him rather then out of a sense of civic duty.
That whole thing sounds like they were covering for the 20 yo in the investigation.
Yeah - there’s the whole angle of connections between the sheriff’s department and the shooter’s family.
And, wait a sec, some of those numbers just caught up with me. The 20 y.o shooter has a 17y.o. girlfriend!?!
WTAF.
That is all.
What a snowflake she is.
