I agree. I intended no disrespect regarding mental health. But I do think someone like him needs help of some sort, if that means being held accountable for his actions, or counseling, or both.
These are not people who are mentally ill. They are violent fascists. That should be the main concern and what we can see from their actions.
White men’s actions that hurt others are almost always attributed to mental illness first, and they are less likely to be held accountable for it. Meanwhile, if you’re Black and ACTUALLY suffer from mental illness and hurt NO ONE, it can easily be a death sentence.
