Walmart doesn’t sell main caliber pistol ammo. (9mm, .40, .45, etc). I am not sure if they sell slugs or buck shot, but the stuff on the shelf is bird shot. Good for birds and clay pigeons. Not very useful for defense.
But yes. New people or people used to just going to the store before going to the range are SOL and paying 2x or more than normal. (Manufactures charging same prices.)
Why wouldn’t bird shot be good for self-defense? Are there incidents of burglars being shot with bird-shot and then continuing to rob a house, for example?
