Sunak was one of those folks pushing hard for crytpo during the recent cryptofad. He pushed for the Royal Mint to create an NFT earlier this year and thinks Britain needs to become a “global crypto hub” in past interviews. If you think Truss’s move to lower taxes on the highest earners caused turmoil, wait and see what happens when a crytpo-loving tory gets into power.
Here is a link to a FT.com article about Sunak’s position on cryptocurrencies.
It goes hand-in-hand with the free ports. He wants money laundering and tax evasion for his fellow multi-millionaires to be even more of a core industry for the UK than it already is (and has been since the 19th century).
And the richest. By a wide margin.
He’s also like 4 feet tall. Which is fine (indeed, I am into smol men), but I know he takes pains to conceal it so I’m optimistic that he will be annoyed if everyone talks about it.
That’s what they should have used Belfast/Larne for if they’d any sense at all. It was just sitting there waiting for them, a win-win.
Just happened to see this:

I should point out that I don’t buy that shit about “Napoleon Complex” actually being very large has power advantages in Western society. Smaller people asserting themselves are thus seen as “bossy” and pushy. Like women.
Sunak is just rich, that’s who he is, they are different to us, the oligarchs.

I’m watching for ablism and transphobia.
A general election and a constitutional convention.
Yup. Also, Napoleon was of average height for his day and age.
Tuvok’s dad, apparently:
After the Truss debacle, you’d think not messing things up, to the point of the Tories losing the next election, should be top priority. Sunak can sneak in “make Tories happy” things like tax-free ports, but he will have to stabilize the economy first. Not much jiggle room there.
He’s already done the transphobia during the interminable summer campaign when attacking trans people took precedence over such minor matters as a collapsing trade balance, weakening currency and emerging energy crisis.
Transphobia has been imported wholesale from the US by the right here and with the party morally and economically bankrupt we can be certain that the horror show that is the Mail will go all out to run a hateful campaign in order to distract attention.
The man couldn’t even use a wireless payment card, something millions of people do on a daily basis. I suspect he knows even less about cryptocurrency than the typical cryptobro, but crypto sounds so cool and it’s what all the cool dudes in Silicon Valley were talking about when he was getting his Green Card:
I can tell you that we have our own homegrown transphobia in the UK, and it has been lurking in the shadows for a few decades now. Guardian hate pieces by TERs has been a regular thing since before the Gender Recognition Act 2004, and I remember the hateful comments by Norman Tebbit from back then too.
The US is only part of the problem, and it has about as much to do with UK transphobia as Russia. It plays a part but it is nowhere near being the whole problem.
Oh, you know this is going to be “good”…
Are his hands at least bigger than trump’s?
