I’m not a legalmancer; but I think that means ‘definitely not pay them’ in the context of bankruptcy.

It will be interesting to see if “federal, state government and private opioid plaintiffs” are equally interested in going in the lol-tier repayment bucket.

The court has to approve the application for bankruptcy and often takes a dim view of applicants trying to skirt judgements unfairly. I guess we’ll se what actually happens. The Sackler family didn’t get their way, so there’s hope after all.

Well, whaddayaknow. Right on the heels of RiteAid buying out and gutting Washington State’s local drugstore chain, Bartell’s.
