Hello fellow “derby wife”. My wife played for 3 seasons. She had bruises all the time. That was sometimes awkward. It takes it’s toll. 3 practices a week. A lot of bouts. A lot of broken bones and concussions. A concussion took her out of competing but she did get to help win the local championship so I am glad she went out with a major success. I enjoyed watching it but there was a toll. I was very glad for her to be done.
