They just show up for the interview. Drunk maybe.

stAtES RiGhtS!
along with buckets of unregulated campaign donations, gerrymandering, voter suppression, and several media outlets devoted to the cause it sure does.
pick the most extreme voters, cater to them, and enrage them. the midterms are going to be a freaking disaster
tort reform fits hand in hand with this, and the decades long republican push for court action over corporate regulation.
if you turn everything into citizens suing each other ( and institutions ) and then lock down the ability to actually use the courts to sue - you’ve created the unregulated, socially regressive country you’ve always been hoping for
The NY/California laws seem to be largely trolling - trying to put the conservatives on the Supreme Court in a position where they declare all such laws unconstitutional (and thus strike down the anti-abortion law). But I suspect the conservatives on the court will come up with the most tortured - and obviously bullshit - explanation for why the anti-abortion law is cool but these aren’t, because they don’t give a damn.
Funny (not funny) how the Dems have utterly failed at a reciprocal strategy.
So over the NPR party.
Performance or not by Newsom, you are dead right that the race is on. Texas and SCOUTS have no idea what they’ve started here, and the only possible outcome, long run, is total catastrophe.
You say that as if it wasn’t the intended result.
Not “corrupt”, but definitely “corrupted”.
That’s not trolling. That’s called action, actually.
Guessing they have a plan for that…
(Which, I hope, fails, especially given the other headway unions have made lately)
If they can’t teach systemic racism kids in Florida won’t even be able to learn who the governor is.
At least Roberts has come out and said this kind of intentional end-run around the courts needs to be stopped.
Yeah, you’re right (they tipped their hands when the 3 Trump justices lied through their teeth on Roe). Having them discrediting themselves completely is probably a precondition for Democratic leaders to finally realize serious reform is needed, though we’re running out of time for that
“ Stop Woke Act that allows Florida parents to sue if systemic racism is taught”
Nice petard you got there - A parent should sue if anything about the Confederacy is taught.
Control++ and control+_ will zoom the browser page in and out.
Right? Talk about systemic racism!
Thanks, yeah (but slightly different on a Mac) and illegible text becomes barely legible by being larger - it’s the resolution that’s the issue. But I was at least able to figure out (I hesitate to say ‘read’) what the text said when enlarged.
I had Recycled Doonesbury on the shelf next to my desk and a scanner, so…
Thank you!! (This is the sort of thing that makes the BBS community so wonderful!)
