DeSantis could always cry to the MAGA-fearing Supreme Court, as authoritarian leaders are wont to do, and it’s easy to guess how that would turn out.

If I may suggest a slight edit:

Chances are that DeSantis will cry to the MAGA-fearing Supreme Court, as authoritarian leaders are wont to do.

And given that court’s blatant willingness to legislate from the bench in a consistently reactionary manner, as demonstrated again by yesterday’s alarming and shameful ruling in favor of the Tangerine Mussolini, it’s easy to guess how that will turn out.
