The catholic church is an autocratic authoritarian hierarchy. To a republican mind, that’s a good and patriotic thing. Individual freedom must always be subsumed to the authorities.

Can we please have higher taxes and socialized medicine? I’d be delighted if this is what Biden/Harris were in favor of doing, but they’re barely leftists at all. It’s crazy to me how right-leaning our Democrat Party (sic) leaders actually are vs. how the reactionaries characterize them. I want my left-wing party to LEAN LEFT, HARD. I want to actually run on the policies the right fears. Instead the annointed party-leaders will lean right, trying to rope in some 2016 Trump voters.
