Those are some old looking AK-74s. They could be from the 90s, for all we know. So they aren’t even sending in the newer stuff. The article said they were a Sniper team, but if they are, they must have had different rifles as well. Either that or the Russians have a completely different mindset to sniping. Given the rest of the chaos, it would not surprise me they are not prepared or equipped properly.
Take it out asap and buy staples, before you can’t.

Dee Snider is of ukrainian decent. You learn something new everyday
Oops. That’s Evil Overlord List #37. Vlad is slipping.
IIRC the British army used GSM mobile phones in Kosovo in 1999, because they were considered more secure than the non-encrypted analogue military radios that the army was still using.
Also American pilots use it.
It’s for hunting?
If they know the serial numbers- can they have Garmin push out an update that makes them say they’re over Moscow?
Nah. It’s for stapling down everything in sight for protection against thieving Russian soldiers.
If I encounter one on the Columbia, you can bet I will.
Or an update that makes them say they’re over Kyiv when they’re over Moscow.
Some sources are saying russian soldiers used the Tinder app to get in touché with women in Ukraine.
So, potentially another bang on effect from going straight from training exercise posture to actual fighting?
Im more curious about the red tape wrapped around the left leg of both of the soldiers in the picture. Part of a chemical protective ensemble?
True, but you can’t use a GPS to call your mom and tell her all the things you never did before you die…
I think if they start calling home it would spawn a “Mothers against war” or “Bring my boy back home” movement in Rússia.
The British army was also having issues with their Clansman radios at the time. They were just so old they were usually broken. Security was the least of their issues. In Bosnia we were loaning them our SINCGARS radios just so we could talk to each other.
