Obviously, Russia has no elections worthy of the name, and the bureaucratic apparatus that surrounds voting exists only to protect the status quo. But that may not be the whole story in this case:
Some of those “childish” errors listed in the Telegram source are a wrong passport number for one of the organizers, misspelled names of the organizers, and weird signatures: one that just reads “Apple” in English, another that appears to be a picture of a cat, and “Да” (“Yes”).
The electoral commission voted unanimously to reject her candidacy three days after her application, citing 100 “mistakes” on her form.
First mistake was filling out the application.
It’s just a matter of finding that one person who is uniquely capable of interpreting the common will of the people, and implementing it in the face of opposition from those who lack understanding.
That’s the only reason the Communist Party is being allowed to stand in Russia’s ‘managed democracy’ elections - their deputies vote en masse with Putin’s own United Russia bloc. It gives the illusion of genuine choice but always delivers the ‘correct’ result.

So, she (as far as I know) is still alive. How natural nowadays to assume that “quickly banned” is a Russian euphemism for “assassinated”.
And how do we know that those are indeed the candidate’s forms?
Probably because nobody in her team is claiming that those errors don’t exist, only that they should not be enough to stop the application.
