Sarah Palin endorses Donald Trump

Well, we’re very white.

I would like to pretend that’s a joke, but on my more cynical days I have to wonder.

After her son was arrested for domestic violence, Sarah Palin blamed President Obama.

A New Yorker being shown proper pizza eating technique from a Chicagoan? That’s just disgraceful.

Perhaps her role is to make Trump look stately and sane by comparison.

Really.

Though I suppose it could be fried ice cream instead.

Your avatar is a perfect match!

But then, are you shocked by her statement, or by her sweater full of hanging needles?

I think that “saying what your criticized progressives for saying for the last 30 years” might be a functional definition of conservativism.

The crisis in Flint helps show why Trump and Palin’s me-first corporate boosterism is the xenophobic, socially bankrupt dead-end of Reagan Coalition politics.

Yes, Trump and Palin both symbolize a politics shameless cynicism, self-seeking greed, public hypocrisy and policies of rationalized cruelty.

But a larger point of having any kind of politics is that solving [a community problem like bad drinking water] (http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/01/21/us/flint-michigan-lead-water-crisis.html) needs a politics of listening, caring, sharing and cooperation.

For Palin or Trump, working together and with other people (strangers!), patiently, for as long as it takes to solve a problem, without doing the “smart thing” is beyond the capacity of their politics.

@Cunk, if you try to parse her, you will go insane. It’s truly best for your mental health just to leave it alone.

I suspect no one has said anything like this about a male politician because, well, just look at the Republican debate stage. Eeewww!

Pfft. The Minnesota state fair and the Wisconsin state fair had deep fried butter years before the Iowa state fair. Remember that ancient episode of South Park called “Prehistoric Ice Man,” where the kids believe Iowa is 3 years behind the rest of the country? There’s a grain of truth there.

@hello_friends: Stupid people saying stupid things while pandering to an under-educated voting block pales in comparison to the real damage done to a generation of kids who will have debilitating learning disabilities paired with reduced cognition that we know is caused by lead ingestion. What the Governerd did, or allowed to happen on his watch is nothing short of criminal. This is close to home, and will be costing all of us a lot more money than the pittance saved by disconnecting Flint from Detroit water.

Ha, first time I ever thought of state-fair goers as hipsters.

I heard it was a savings of about $100/month. SMDH

More white-collar criminals VERY unlikely to see prosecution for their crimes. But I’ll keep hoping, as usual.

When doing effective work to respond to the harm, it’s important to remember how the former can be used to legitimize the latter.

There is also the ever popular remarks about David Cameron and his deceased porcine lover at college.
