I’m sticking wiith my opinion that the Secret Service are just cops in suits. If it were up to me, I would relegate all of the current crop of them to a post in the Artic Circle, and train all new ones who have been vetted carefully for signs of authoritarianism and antisocial behavior.

We definitely would never do the thing we were caught doing.

Aren’t a lot of secret service, particularly in presidential security, literally (former) cops? I can’t find stats on it, but I’ve gotten that impression from things I’ve read in the past.
