Ugh, I hate it when I have to agree with MTG on anything.
Maybe he goes to the White Room.
NSFW, please blur.
I believe McTurtle predates a soft reset.
To echo Mitch’s own words on the topic of providing health care for all Americans, “You must be under the mistaken impression that I care.”
I can’t feel sympathy for him. He’s delivered pain, suffering, and financial ruin to tens of millions of people; and that’s only considering one tiny aspect of his legacy of destruction. And he got to keep ruining everything he touched, because he lived a long life with access to the finest health care his millions of dollars could buy.
To see him wasting away only gives me relief knowing that someone will soon replace him. And it almost doesn’t matter who replaces him, as it would take decades before an ur-MTG could do more damage to our country than he did.
So I’m not celebrating; I simply feel nothing for him. And I sure as hell don’t get sad seeing him fail.
The woman who helped him at the end is probably as close as it gets. Robbin Taylor has worked for McConnell in one capacity or another for 20+ years.
But don’t you see? THAT is the job of blood relatives who are female, everyone is entitled to that and that’s a totally reasonable expectation to have them and not at all stressful or expecting them to have expertise they don’t! The problem here is women, not Mitch, women… women somewhere are not doing their natural woman duties! They must not love him, or they must be bad women. No matter what, there’s always a way to pin one’s highest expectations on women and blame them for failing to meet them… if you look for it!
Add to that, no real framework to understand what had just happened.
He’s still a dick, though, and a war criminal.
Maybe Mitch treats/treated his female “loved ones” like shit; that’s a great motive for just letting someone rot once age and disease start to set in.
*shrugs
We had this happening with one of our public facing computers here at the library just last month. After the second time it was reported as locking up on a patron during a session, we pulled it from the floor and brought it back to the IT office. Testing it on the bench, I confirmed that it was randomly overheating at various times, even in an idle state. We replaced it and did not give it a third opportunity to lock up on our users who deserve better. I see no reason why the general public should deserve any less from what is just another public resource.
(Admittedly we did swap the old SSD into the replacement computer, but I also re-imaged it before I deployed it, so I’m not entirely discounting this part of the metaphor. It’s certainly worth considering.)
No good. Republicans don’t believe in climate change.
I linked the video more to reference Michael Moore’s commentary about what might have been going on inside of Bush’s head, since that’s what I was commenting about.
But if we’re going to allow ourselves to get derailed, I would assume that when the Commander in Chief gets news that we’re actively under attack, with the possibility of more targets being hit within the next minutes or hours, he might want to personally be abreast of the military response that he is constitutionally in charge of, even if he’s delegating the actual minute-to-minute decision making.
As I understand it, he’s estranged from his kids, and his own wife is more concerned with her own fortune and how he benefits her than his actual safety. Even his staff seem to be more concerned about how this would look on their CV than his health.
But hey, this man spent his entire career wrapped in a cocoon of greed and self-serving interest, so it’s no wonder the only ones near him now are just as amoral and self-serving as he is, only concerned about their own well-being.

I dunno. I can tell you for sure that the woman who helped him at the end is 100% a true believer.
It’s been done before . . .
