And since we live in the stupid timeline, he has a good chance of being successful…
[ETA] And McConnell is probably gonna do all he can to fuck us all over on his way out the fucking door…
Because he remains an evil piece of shit.

this is my thought, too. i suspect more is going on here. he’s not one to relinquish power lightly.
To hell with mitch the glitch’s health. He doesn’t give a damn about anyone else’s.
well, i wasn’t offering him any sympathy – just saying i agree there’s more to the story. the sooner he leaves the chair, the happier i’ll be.
The Onion has proven to be remarkably prescient over the years, unfortunately.
If he’s ill, I do not wish him a speedy recovery.
“doesn’t he look tired?”
yes’m, right there with ya, comrade.
as to who might take his place? as mentioned above, Thune and Vance (sweet baby buddha, please no!) don’t discount an imbecilic bull-run from one Tuberville, as he has proven himself an effective obstructionist. or the jr. senator from Kentucy, Rand Paul; another obstructionist tool of the fascist GQP.
McConnell assigned blame and responsibility to Trump and said that he should be held to account through the criminal justice system for his actions.
…after having voted against impeachment for the SOB. In other words, he made this bold stand when it was likely nothing would happen to Trump so his ass was covered (for the time being).
This is the best I could do, I was shooting for that dumbfounded look he got, those two times he filled his adult diapers live on camera.
A mixed blessing for Kentucky. We might get lucky if a Democrat can squeeze in now that McConnell’s incumbent advantage won’t be an issue. Charles Booker did fairly well against McConnell, certainly better than pro-life, Schumer-backed Amy McGrath. A progressive candidate would do well in Louisville and Lexington, as well as in some surprising Democrat strongholds in eastern Kentucky.
On the other hand, Kentucky has a supermajority clown car teeming with state legislators who make McConnell look like a centrist by comparison. More likely, though, a Congressional rep like James Comer or Thomas Massie will try for a Senate seat. At least they won’t be as effective as McConnell.
Nice try, Mitch, but you’re still going to end up in a meme with Death playing a crane game.
Fucker’s still alive though
