Senator Jeff Flake on Kavanaugh's denial of sexual assault: "I don't know if I believed him"

Of course he does. He’s still a pretty severe social/fiscal conservative. He’s still of the tribe.

He cannot be remembered as the person who embarrassed his tribe. Such a betrayal risks: corporation board seats, thinktank positions, speaking engagement fees, Fox News employment, conservative lobbyist positions.

Sure, life isn’t so bad for Michael Steele (former RNC chairman), Steve Schmidt (former McCain campaign chairman), Nicolle Wallace (former Bush43 staff), etc-- but they had to join the other tribe. Flake doesn’t want to join the other tribe.
