i was prepared to be kinda jaded about this, but the delight on that first woman’s face brought tears to my eyes. oh, how i’ve MISSED simple joys like this. i don’t think NYC is “the only place this could happen,” nor is it the only place this is needed, either.

Oh yeah!

To my mind Terry Gilliam can be a bit hit or miss, but The Fisher King, 12 Monkeys and Brazil are all superb!

12 Monkeys and Brazil are both beautiful but tragic. The Fisher King has a darkness, but ultimately is uplifting.
