Yes, that. I was imagining him being told by his handlers that this was protocol and 100% masculine in Saudi Arabia while still not really believing it. (That was meant to be Bush’s internal monologue as he walked. Sorry, I can be vague.)

If so, it’s interesting that he didn’t insist instead (as he no doubt did otherwise) that his rules for masculinity be the ones that everyone has to follow.

Well, his emails do include a fun sigblock:
