THIS. Yup. This gets reinforced constantly in the mainstream media and even in “sex-positive” settings (ie “kissing parties” or other on-premises meet n greets or even swing clubs) that keep emphasizing “single/bi women or het couples ONLY welcome.” 'Cause Teh Gay is OK when it’s there to gratify het male desires, but icky if it’s actually two guys getting it on and super even ickier if a het female enjoys watching two guys get it on. Can’t have women enjoying their sexual freedom outside the lines now, can we?

Keeping uppity women in line is just a life skill, not something you’d hire a professional for. And since ‘lesbianism’ is really just another flavor of sexual immorality from postlapsarian slut-temptresses, no special skills beyond those widely distributed in the community should be required. The admission that Wholesome Red-Blooded Man-Lust might be intrinsically depraved, though, that’s just not the kind of thing that ordinary civilians should be expected to handle. You need to call in the specialists to handle something that threatening.

If a cold, distant, unaffectionate father caused homosexuality, there would be WAY more gay men in this country.

Fry points out that his brother was treated the same way, and is straight

Go watch (and yes, it’s a movie rather than real life, but it’s a good movie anyway) But I’m a Cheerleader. It does happen, but I think it doesn’t get quite the attention as guys.
