Stephen Miller says pro-Trump "alternate slate of electors" will submit their votes to congress

You are a braver man than me.

Yabut, they choose to be indoctrinated; they choose to ignore Reality, Science, & all the rest.

I rest my case.

It’s not so much that people are stupid. It’s more that they are lazy. Someone gives 'em a simple solution to complex problems, they eat it right up… “Tax cuts pay for themselves!..etc, etc…”
Where the Dems fail, time after time, is that they go into far too much detail about the issues & solutions.
People don’t want to hear that shit; they want simple solutions they can understand, (and hopefully won’t cost them a dime).

That’s not unintentional.

The Dumbening has been going on since at least the end of WW2.

I totally disagree, I don’t even think laziness is a thing. If they were lazy we wouldn’t all know the trope of the racist uncle who doesn’t just sit around and passively consume conspiracy theories, but spends their lives going out of their way to shove those theories in everyone else’s face. People who propagate this stuff are some of the most energetic people on the planet.

They’ve cast themselves as the protagonists in a war story. It’s a source of meaning.

Lazy? Spiritually exhausted? Who can say? I definitely haven’t been as productive as usual these past months.

I was discussing this with my doc the other day. I’ve been lazy before. I know what being lazy feels like.

I am not currently being lazy. But I’m not getting anything done, either.

I was thinking about this the other day. For the first 6ish months of lock down / work from home I stepped up my work game and was more steadily on task that I would have been in the office. But the last 2 months… maybe 3, ooo boy. Did you know that a metal tape measure is a great way to bump the mouse over on the desk without getting out of bed so your status stays green?

I find it distressing how many people here don’t correctly read this as what it is: a money grab.

This little stunt is probably worth $3 million in donations. The “electors” probably paid for the privilege.

The PROBLEM is how it destabilizes our democracy. I’m disturbed by how many people think it’s irrelevant.

I’m sending Stephen Miller to an alternate jail, which is very similar to regular jail in that he won’t be able to leave.

Sure it is.
I am referring to intellectual laziness… they let the likes of El Rushbo tell them what to think, without ever trying to question his spewage.

Ah, well, now that would be their hobby, now wouldn’t it. They get a rise out of the Libtards, & all that tommyrot.
They still don’t bother to question what they are told, though.
That is laziness.

Yep. No argument there. That’s a very good insight, actually, & helps explain their fervency.
That, & some people just enjoy being a-holes.

I’m not sure it is. Seems to me like laziness is avoidance (of something that someone “should” be doing).

Trust me, that avoidance shit takes energy, man!
