“What’s my credit card score?” now means 2 things.

Wow, there’s a lot of weasel words in every summary of the actual study. “Could be” “as much as” “potentially”. Meanwhile, the evidence isn’t really all that robust yet. Microplastics are definitely a concern, and more study is required, but I doubt you’re consuming a credit card every week.

Let’s see. If water samples in the US have about 5 fibers per 500ml, and we’re getting 1769 particles per week from drinking water, then that’s assuming we’re drinking about 180 liters of water per week? Is that what this chart is supposed to be telling us?

This article feels pretty sensationalized to me at first glance. I’m going to wait a couple of weeks for the “no, you don’t eat a credit card every week” story.

I’m eating microplastics right now.

But we all can agree that drinking beer is far safer than drinking water.

That is both funny and not funny.

Units change. (particles (0-1mm) per week) for the first,
average number of fibers
(>100um) per 500ml), for the second. But yes, data could have been presented less confusingly.

Ah, so that explains Capital One’s new slogan, “What’s in your gullet?”

Many Americans are consumed by credit card debt. It’s good to see us finally biting back.
