Until I met my wife, I didn’t do karaoke for pretty much this reason. Not Hope in particular; just lots of people think they can sing and they’re not actually fun to listen to.
My wife and her brothers and sisters were gifted with gorgeous singing voices and good taste in both music and karaoke companions. So I go to karaoke with them. And they tolerate me because I stick to things I can sing, which is typically just a song or two in the catalogue, because I have the range of a bullfrog.

Shouldn’t be too hard since there’s only two of them.
There’s a handful of songs that just never get old and always bring me back to the 90s. This is tops on that list.
