You could have stopped at that. Unless they were to create special allowances for this deduction, 80% to 90% of Americans file using the standard deduction. So they don’t itemize deductions and wouldn’t be able to make use of it.

He was happy to have them fight mask regulations and vaccine requirements, though he admitted to Woodward Covid was far worse than the flu. Many of his supporters didn’t vote for him in 2020 because they were dead from taking his lead and doing their own research instead of trusting doctors.

He’s referencing existing conspiracy theories, albeit granted in typical Trumpian incoherent style, but presumably his intended audience is already familiar with them, so he doesn’t have to be coherent. (And for people unfamiliar with the conspiracy theories, they’re left wondering what will happen if they do receive aid, because it’s obviously something bad.)
