Woah woah woah…all this nakedness should be labeled NSFW!

We need to see the architects naked to really know whose is bigger.

I don’t consider the Empire State Building spire as a “lying” one since it was originally built as a boarding dock for airships.

I think the Chrysler spire was jacked up from inside the building after outside construction was completed, to give the middle finger to the building it replaced.

But was it ever successfully used in that capacity?

That’s true, it wasn’t used in that capacity, and was kind of a PR stunt.

Man, I fuckin’love Zeppelins. If I were a supervillain, I would absolutely have a flying gin palace. With cannons and biplanes on hooks like a matinee villain.

There’s a famous fake photo. It was actually done once for three hairy minutes.

Have you seen many architects clothed? I think I’m alright.

Did you read the caption on that photo? The photo is faked (a composite). The one time a dirigible “docked” it was a much smaller blimp, and there was no way to take on or off passengers or cargo, because unlike some zeppelins, there is no way to get to the nose of a blimp from the gondola.

Yes. Yes, I did.

Yes! All buildings and architecture would be better if they had flat roofs universally! That would be so interesting!

But the idea did seem to have at least a veneer of practical considerations given to it:

And mooring masts had been built before:

But as far as practical limitations:

And that was on the ground at Lakehurst.

What’d make me the villain would be my annoying tendency to fly no higher than 20 feet off the ground. :face_with_monocle:

Oops, that’s what I get for reading too fast. I missed the “fake” in your post.

When they’re adding all these frills, I hope that they re-run the wind-loading calculations, carefully.
