Barcelona and Real Madrid are also owned by their fans, and Bayern Munich are at least 50%+1 owned by their fans (as are all German association football teams with a few exceptions).

I’ve always loved that there is a wiki page for this, LOL.
I was in HS when the satanic panic kicked off. Before I graduated, there were just a couple of kids that were into all that. But man, were they annoying.
When I went to college, a friend and their family were part of some wacko fundy church and they would actually have special meetings about rock albums with messages. He would try to sell me on that nonsense, but stoped after about the 3rd time I rolled my eyes. I also pointed out - “don’t you people in your church have better things to worry about? Take some of that sweet collection plate cash and feed some hungry families or something.” Or words to that effect.

Yeah, me too. I hadn’t actually played D&D yet when my aunt gave me that “Bothered About Dungeons and Dragons” pamphlet although I’d heard of it. Once I read that thing, however, I couldn’t get to a game fast enough! (I still have at least the Dungeon Masters Guide I got for Christmas that year.)

I really found it weird at the time (late 70s - early 80s), being a Preacher’s Kid.

My parents didn’t really see the harm, except for the fighting with the nasty, cheating neighbor kids.

I liked the occasional Taylor Swift song before that. Now I am proud to say I’m a fan, even if I haven’t actually started listening to more of her music.
