Dunno if they were inspired by Taylor or not, but it gladdened my heart to see female college students lining up at a voter registration table the other day. I later overheard some of them saying how close the last (congressional) race was and how excited they are to vote here! 
I bet Taylor Swift knows how to interact with a donut shop worker without embarrassment.
