(One school shooter per day per school I’m assuming?)
If many school shooters are current or former sutdents (which seems to be the case) wouldn’t arming the students be most likely to increase the incidence of shootings?

I know if my kid’s school sent my child home to me wounded without even a phone call notifying me that anything had happened (let alone their failure to notify the authorities) I’d be suing the shit out of them and the teacher in question, full stop.
I think they need to review their school lockdown policies. (Other policies too, but a shot was fired and the class kept going until the bell?)
You don’t stop class for a good guy with a gun.
Looking around it seems that line between arming teachers being an almost reasonable solution lies somewhere between active civil war and active civil war where at least one of the parties has a tendency to abduct and forcibly enlist child soldiers. Even then you only manage to get to the point of maybe, with most places preferring additional structural reinforcements.
