Those are centered around denying access to small children, which is really easy. Making something unstealable is a a bit harder, trigger locks don’t stop thieves. You need a big expensive safe that is too heavy to lift, because a small light safe just tells thieves where the valuables are. Now try getting that thing up the stairs into your apartment without blowing a disk in your back… Still a very good idea to have one, but no I’m not blaming anyone for not having one.

Meh, the cat will curl up next to until you lose the last of your body heat. You’re dead, remember, no rescue possible. The dog may or may not choose to nom on your face after a couple days without kibble. Just like kitteh.
