This always kills me. I’ve tried to explain to my conservative friends, and even some of my centrist Democrat friends, that Kamala Harris is NOT that far to the left at all. I tell them the actual radical leftists, which may or may not include me depending on your definition of radical, are not all that thrilled with the Biden/Harris choice, but they don’t believe me.

When Cronkite damned the Johnson US involvement in a losing war in Vietnam Nam, it was seen as a mighty moment in the downfall of LBJ in early 1968. The media and their might had finally stopped kissing the butt of the ol’ cowboy and began calling the losing effort in Asia, exactly that.
Robertson shows no courage here. The time for calling this bastard out came and went years ago. Rather, Robertson and his ilk elected and facilitated the fuck at every turn.

I think it was inevitable, he’s just one of the first rats off the ship. As Trump loses power, more will point out how he misled them (as they would never lie or do those horrible things they’ve been supporting for the last few decades), and he’ll become less and less the center of the GOP. He’ll die, or become less of a public figure, and they’ll regard him as a mythic saint (yes, he had his rough edges, but remember how he loved the bible and made the godless liberals mad?) and try to put someone else just as horrible into power.
