“It’s not a car company, Musk said after it posted poor sales results, but it’s also clearly not an energy infrastructure company either. So what is it?”

Decimation was not just a beating, one in 10 soldiers were murdered by their peers.

I haven’t forgotten how we got here, though. We were wondering if someone was going to make an electric car that was even viable in the market. The big companies were dragging their feet and focusing on putting out the next massive SUV.

Tesla’s original plan had been to progressively move to more mass-producable cars. Their work expanding out on patents, single-handedly dropping the price of batteries, and installing a charger network throughout the US was critical for the other groups to get into the space.

Then they started working on the Model X and moved away from their intention to make things more affordable.

It’s just gotten progressively more and more unhinged as Musk became more and more of a celebrity and we collectively lost our goddamned political minds.
