And now Abbott is on the band wagon of book bans. There are so many levels of stupid in his letter.
*The Association of School Boards is like a trade org for school boards. No regulatory authority at all. They do training and legislative advocacy.
*Book choice is at the district administration level. Unless a parent pitches a fit, book choice never gets to a school board.
*Pornography? Time to panic! /s As if anything a kid sees at school is ever going to be as bad as what they can run across looking for superhero vids on the internet
*He couldn’t even provide examples. Too rushed to get his performative conservative rage letter on display. governments.
*This is how we lose more librarians and teachers. Serious shortage here b/c of the COVID death games and shit pay. Wasn’t the damage he did with the education bills enough?

This is where I live. All you Texas mutants, if you haven’t voted, DO IT NOW. There are eight constitutional amendments on the ballot and we really need to keep facists out of our local government
Vote in every election. Every time.
