Not the first time I’ve heard someone try this, but the first such case I’ve heard of since Roe was overturned.

So, she would need to pay more to see a movie, also? (And can’t get into R-rated, of course!)

Honestly if they’re denying women prescriptions that MIGHT cause an abortion just because we MIGHT be pregnant, i think we should all start doing this.

So what if I’ve had a hysterectomy? You don’t know God’s plan!

“You don’t know God’s plan!”

“Are i saying that God can’t make me pregnant?” I’d love to watch that one.

This can be expanded to “I know what I did was illegal, but God told me to. Are you saying that God doesn’t speak directly to people and tell them what to do? Are you saying that your laws override God’s words?”

Children can get into R-rated movies if accompanied by an adult.

This might just make for a interesting legal case. Is or is not the fetus a person? If so then there are two people in the car. If not then then abortion is just another medical procedure to remove an unwanted growth. (Yes I know the reality of abortion is not that simple.)

Indeed, the theater could claim she has to buy two tickets.

Aren’t children under a certain age usually free, especially if they do not take up their own seat?

“Ma’am, it means two persons outside of the body.”

Does he mean ghosts?

Then it should state that. It doesn’t.

Nothing in the rules says anything about “outside the body.”

A vehicle occupied by two or more people or a motorcyclist may use HOV lanes.

According to that language, one could also use the HOV lane if there were a corporation in the vehicle with you!

I don’t believe the recent SCOTUS decision actually addressed the question of whether or not a fetus is a human being, it just gave the green light for states to stop treating women as autonomous human beings.

A dude being creepy online once told me “I don’t know God’s plan” in response to my telling him I couldn’t get pregnant because I didnt have a womb. I told him, in that case, it’s just as likely god will make YOU pregnant, good luck with your child bro.

Active motorcyclist or just licensed? Can I drive the F150 in the HOV lane solo because I have a class M1 license and a bike at home?

Bottone’s court date is July 20.

A date which is suddenly in high demand as a vacation day for Dallas traffic court judges, I’d imagine.

This was tried but it failed. A man drove in the HOV lanes with the articles of incorporation for his company printed out and on the passenger seat. He had to pay the ticket.

He should have appealed it all the way to the SCOTUS. Roberts’ outrage at the non-recognition of a fictional corporate “person” would have been such to convince the majority to rule in his favour.

I was wondering the same. I have the motorcycle designation, so if we’re going by the “letter of the law,” I should be able to drive my wagon in the HOV lane in TX, showing my license as proof.

It’s annoying how often cops get to “interpret” the laws on the fly, and suffer no repercussions when they’re totally wrong. Yet for us civilians, “ignorance of the law,” is no excuse. :rage:

I think you’d have to have the motorcycle in the bed of the pickup or on a trailer.

While true the local folks use that as a starting point, Maybe a chance to force the courts to decide one way or the other.
