The creepiness of a sonically dead room

Has Ed Sheeran dropped another album?

We had a big one at work. The main thing I noticed was it felt like you had a head cold. And clapping your hands was more of a “thump”.

Umm - isn’t that the entire point of an echo?

I’ve been in a few anechoic chambers in my life. The very first one is the most memorable, but not because it was the first. It is because it was only slightly larger than a coffin (we mostly tested the clicking sounds of relays on small circuit boards) and had no handle on the interior. We didn’t use it all that often, so it was entirely conceivable that if somebody got shut inside we would never have known until they started to smell. I can remember checking it occasionally before going home from work, just in case.
