I had worked for the company that did that season of Ally McBeal due to lack of time the shots for the baby’s first appearance was outsourced to Blur Studio.The lighting matching was kinda awful so they did the whole ghosty transparent when the shots were composited. The whole thing was being rigged for Lightwave instead of 3D Studio and there wasn’t time for the first episode. It was kinda funny as Kinetix was trying to do all their advertising around Ally McBeal and the dancing baby and we were busy not using it for the season.
