always thought that sixty days was the horror no one recognised
The Hammer films consistently scared the bejabbers out of me as a young sprout. Many of them don’t hold up so well in the modern era, but a few, such as this one, Quatermass and the Pit (Five Million Years to Earth in the U.S.), and Horror of Dracula, are gems of British cinema.
That one and Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed are probably my favorite Hammer films.
I would add CAPTAIN KRONOS, VAMPIRE HUNTER to the mix.
What, no love for Dr Phibes? Come on people.

One of those films I grew up on. Which explains a lot. “The Sign of Osiris, Slain. The Sign of Osiris, Risen.”
