The Hammer films consistently scared the bejabbers out of me as a young sprout. Many of them don’t hold up so well in the modern era, but a few, such as this one, Quatermass and the Pit (Five Million Years to Earth in the U.S.), and Horror of Dracula, are gems of British cinema.

That one and Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed are probably my favorite Hammer films.

I would add CAPTAIN KRONOS, VAMPIRE HUNTER to the mix.

Wasn’t that AIP, not Hammer?

Yup, AIP partnered with Amicus.

Was it, so? Well, yer bugger. I’d always assumed they were Hammer films. Still, tho. They’re fucking great.

One of those films I grew up on. Which explains a lot. “The Sign of Osiris, Slain. The Sign of Osiris, Risen.”
