One thing about both is that they are highly eclectic, and much more enjoyable if you start looking for the source material. American Gods in particular did this as it’s whole concept. It’s a kind of need cultural thing which Pratchett’s style incorporated, but @Neilhimself really builds on, masssively. Personally, I like it.
