Interesting, but I hadn’t seen anyone making the claim the author of the WaPo article described. Kamala Harris is the first woman of color to be elected Vice President of the United States.

This is the exact legislation that this year’s SCOTUS decision in Mcgirt vs Oklahoma impacted. It upheld that, in spite of allotment and statehood, the Creek tribe’s sovereignty remains intact.
