The ban came following an emergency meeting the district called to address a single complaint from one parent in the district about an upcoming event in which the bookās author Jason Tharp was going to read it at a school in Delaware, Ohio.
But Tharp, who is straight, says his book āItās Okay To Be A Unicorn!ā is not about LGBTQ issues but rather the self-acceptance he learned from nearly dying of a brain tumor.
He and many others are baffled by the controversyāincluding school employees who were forced to take down artwork promoting Tharpās book and his visit to the school.

I understand that. My Mom was an elementary school teacher and even though she loved her job, I was told from a young age to never become a teacher.

what are the real problems these states could be focusing on instead of laws banning gender-affirming careālaws which the American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American Psychiatric Association all oppose?..here are a few examples so glaring that itās a wonder these legislators have time for anything else.
