Hopefully those animals that he “hunts” will soon also be armed.
I wonder how pathetic his attempts to hide his money are?
He probably has sacks with dollar signs on them laying around the studio.
“That means that homosexuals cannot procreate. This goes against our Constitution and this goes against what parents want in the school district, and this is only one book out of thousands.”
Carlo made a few mistakes: the expression “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” is from the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution; gay people can have children; no legal document in the U.S. – including the Constitution – requires anyone to procreate.
But Carlo’s argument is similar to one used by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) earlier this year in a non-binding opinion that stated that supportive parents of transgender children who allow their kids to access gender-affirming care are child abusers. Paxton’s argument, entered around the idea that gender-affirming care takes away transgender people’s “constitutional right to procreate” and is therefore illegal.
But, what about the manly male models?
Are we going to have only women as teachers to feminize our kids?
Will anyone think about the children? /s
(excerpt from Reuters) Chapter 11 bankruptcy procedures put a hold on all civil litigation matters and allow companies to prepare turnaround plans while remaining operational.
(excerpts from Yahoo news) Alex Jones is facing a new lawsuit [April 8] in Texas over accusations that the Infowars host hid millions of dollars in assets after families of Sandy Hook victims began taking him to court. Norm Pattis, an attorney for Jones, said there was no effort to hide assets. “The suggestion is ridiculous. We look forward to litigating these issues," Pattis said in an email Friday.
Looks like they actually don’t look forward to litigating the issues. If the now stopped civil litigations could have “authorized” a search for the hidden assets, then the Chapter 11 process (just for now??) gives Jones more time to bury assets even deeper and/or makes it a shell game for investigators? Any thoughts on that, BBers?
Huh. Someone should maybe tell them of America’s long history of sterilizing disabled, black, and poor people. Or the Supreme Court ruling that it was constitutional.
I don’t think how America treated people like that is a good basis for rights though. Like, to me those would argue that maybe there should be a constitutional right to procreate…and it would not still not in the slightest make supporting LGBTQ people wrong.
The right to procreate includes the right not to procreate.
Of course it isn’t.
Because rights like this are about choices. The Freedom of Religion doesn’t mean “here is a list of approved religions, pick one”, it means the freedom to chose whatever religion, or none. Freedom of Speech includes the right to be silent. Freedom of Thought includes the right not to have an opinion.
Besides being weapons-grade bullshit, this “Constitutional right to procreate” isn’t about a “right”: they mean it to be understood as a duty. It’s not about the choice, it’s about being compulsory.
Which is another way of saying that their attacks on Transfolk is (also) another front on their war against women.
An internet forum where people pretending to be parents forcing their children to be transgender has gotten shut down after it was found to be full of fake stories.
As the U.S. plunges even deeper into a moral panic over children who are supposedly being forced to transition, some anti-transgender people are reacting to the fact that that never happens by making up stories about it and trying to pass them off as real.
the stories still spread outside of Reddit to rightwingers who were all too willing to believe them.
“This is fucking child abuse and I’ll die on this Hill,” wrote libertarian author Justin O’Donnell on Twitter, posting a picture of Funkyduffy’s fake story. He got almost 46,000 likes for it.
