Wow. She’s so filled with hate. I mean, it sounds there was not one person that she felt was a worthy peer.
But the affidavit filed by the the state’s chief administrative judge alleges other targets of Thompson’s wide-ranging bile include natives of the West Indies, overweight co-workers, fellow female judges, white women and Black women.
She accused her female colleagues of trading sexual favors for their seats on the bench, labeling one woman as “part of that group of hos” and describing another Black judge as a “house n----r” and “puppet for the white man,” according to the court papers.
In a particularly callous comment, Thompson said a fellow judge “got what she deserved” when diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease, the court papers allege. The judge also declared a state court worker was likely a prostitute, and suggested “her boyfriend is pimping her.”
Donnie Romero — a pastor who gained national attention after his views on the Pulse nightclub shooting inspired a protest from LGBTQ advocates — has resigned. In a video posted to YouTube, Romero says that he had sinned by paying for sex, gambling and using drugs.
Romero — formerly the pastor of Stedfast Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas — publicly voiced support for the Pulse nightclub gunman, who opened fire inside the popular LGBTQ nightclub in Orlando and killed 49 people. A June 2016 Dallas Morning News report says Romero’s words sparked a protest.
“I went to Jacksonville and I went to a casino and I was drinking. And there were girls there that were prostitutes and I committed adultery on my wife multiple times. I drank and gambled multiple times. … I even smoked weed.”
In the video, Romero repeatedly apologizes for his actions, while standing by his beliefs: “I haven’t changed anything I believe. I still believe exactly the same.”
After the completely legit and non-stacked victory of Pierre Poilievre as the new Conservative Party of Canada leader, the Quebec lieutenant of the party quit the caucus to sit as an independent.
Apparently that kicked off automated attack systems texting all the party members in the riding, telling them to spam his office, demanding he resign. (Not a thing. We elect the MP, not the party.)

Claiming a legal waiver for sexual abuse is a new low. “You signed this form that says we can do anything we want to your child and you can’t do anything about it” is not a thing. Ever.
